THE GAMBIA
I spent 2 weeks in The Gambia in late February/early March 2017 - one week in the coastal area and a week
up-country. The coast provided good photo opportunities with many birds allowing a reasonably
close approach. Conditions further inland were more demanding, especially in temperatures
touching 40 degrees, but there were colourful birds such as Bee Eaters and Rollers.
