SPAIN - EXTREMADURA - September 2022

In mid- September I spent a week photographing birds in Extremadura, a region of Spain to the west and
southwest of Madrid. A lot of photography was done using the car as a hide, but I also used a pop-up
hide. The abnormally hot summer and early autumn had affected bird behaviour and migration
patterns, so there were fewer around than expected, but still plenty of opportunities.
